Senior Process Engineer

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Sr Process Engineer to join our diverse process development team. The Sr Process Engineer will be responsible for providing leadership for overall process/system design and site-specific engineering studies including: operability, process optimization, constraint analysis, and process economics. This includes process integration for existing / brownfield installations, mass/water/mineral balances, process flow diagrams and other inputs as required to complete studies from Preliminary Feasibility to Detailed Engineering Designs incorporating CiDRA’s proprietary processing technology. This will require interaction with external EPC firms who will execute the detailed design and construction.

In addition the Process engineer would be involved in executing bench and pilot-scale test work programs occurring both in Windsor Ct and client mine sites. This includes report generation and customer interaction.

The Process engineer will be expected to be help drive implementation and execution of pilot, demonstration and commercial scale programs at customer sites. As such this position will require up to 30% travel (domestic and international).

Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical/Mining/Materials/Metallurgical/Process Engineering plus 5+ years industrial experience. Relevant combinations of post graduate degrees and industrial experience may also be considered.

Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of mass balancing (i.e. Bilmat or equivalent)
  • Experience in process data analysis
  • Demonstrated initiative and ingenuity in providing engineering solutions
  • Operational experience within base metals concentrators considered an asset
  • Experience working with EPC firms highly preferred
  • Able to supervise a mix of up to 5 operators and/or technicians
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to varied work assignments and environments
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Bilingual applicants (i.e. Spanish) preferred but not required
  • Proven time management skills and a strong commitment to safety
  • CiDRA expects this position to travel up to 30% on an annual basis, with occasional extended trips as required
